Social Event & Presentation

On Saturday, 14th of March 2009 at 6:00 pm the ESS hosted a Social event & Presentation.The event took place in the old Aberdeen University Campus. The program of the event was divided into two parts, as follows:
The First Part (Men Part) took place in Taylor A36 and included:-

- Reciting one chapter of the Holy Quran
- A presentation tackling “The Criminal Liability for Committing International Crimes by Israelis and Sudanese (Al Bashir)”. The presentation was delivered by Ahmed Samir Hassanein.
The Second Part (Ladies and Children part) took place in King’s College first floor 22 (KCF 22) and included Screening a movie titled Muhammad: The Last Prophet to celebrate the birth of Prophet Mohamed, peace be upon him.
Roundtable: Coexistence between Israel and Palestine
on the 3rd of March, 2009 Aberdeen University Amnesty International society Presented: ‘Coexistence between Israel and Palestine’ Roundtable featuring:• Dr. Andrea Teti - Lecturer in International Relations: Topic: Recent political development in Palestine and Israel
• Prof Anthony Carty - Professor of Public Law: Topic: Article 51 of UN Charter: (“Nothing in the present Charter shall impair the inherent right of individual or collective self-defence if an armed attack) and Humanitarian Rules of the Geneva Conference
• Ahmed Samir Hassanein - PhD student in International Criminal law: Topic: Peace process between Israel and Palestine
• Khaled Ramadan Bashir - PhD student in Islamic International Law: Topic: How can we use Islamic International Law to promote coexistence?
Cultural Food Day: Follow up
